the sky was blue, the air was fresh, a typical day in Timaru. Fresh snow had fallen on the mountain backdrop. The sea still showed signs of the wind from the day before. The waves roared and the pebbles grumbled. It was the best time to collect seaweed for the garden. Ted gave me some gardening tips:-
- seaweed around the fruit trees, especially good for apple trees in clay
- worm farms are great for recyling, the worms eat lots of things
- diluted seawater has many minerals which the garden needs
so, time for a walk along the beach with Jock (my current dog) …
